Carcassonne Airport Departures

Carcassonne city and other towns like Pennautier, Villemoustaussou, Ventenac-Cabardès, Cazilhac, Montréal, Pezens, Caux-et-Sauzens , and Alzonne are served by Carcassonne Airport. Incoming and outgoing flights from Carcassonne Airport are offered by a cheap airline carrier, Ryanair Airline. All through the year, flights from Dublin, Brussels South-Charleroi, London-Stansted, and Liverpool are regular, whereas those from Cork, Glasgow-Prestwick, East Midlands, and Porto are seasonal. The airport has a single building and its only major runway facilitates the departures.

Passengers can reach the airport by private vehicles. However, there is no available train station. Roads of the D119 and D6161 can be accessed while driving towards the CCF from the city, while from east and west A61 Autoroute can be accessed. The D33, providing access from areas such as Castelnaudary and Villesèquelande is passing by northern side of Airport grounds. Reasonable rates are charged for both short and long term parking periods at the Airport Parking lot.

Approximately one and a half hour before each flight departure, the Anglo’s Bus is available to transport the passengers to airport from the city centre, the Carcassonne railway station and various other parts of Carcassonne. The passengers reach the airport about an hour before the flight departure. Taxis are available form of transport from other nearby places. In order to ensure the timely departures, passengers are recommended to reach the airport one hour before the departure of domestic flights and two hours before international flights. Check in for international flights opens two hours prior to departure and closes forty minutes prior to departure. Ryanair issue the tickets with flight timings mentioned on them. Some items are restricted to be packed in the Hand luggage.

Like all other European Airport, liquid materials in hand luggage should not be more than 100ml, it should be packed in the ready for inspection re-sealable transparent bag available at the vending machines. However, quantity of liquid more than 100ml can be packed in the hold luggage.
